DEEPSET, the Florida-based band featuring Jonathan Murphy, Rick Baum and Dave "The Beast" Spitz (ex-BLACK SABBATH, GREAT WHITE) from Nicko McBrain's (IRON MAIDEN) MCBRAIN DAMAGE, have been tapped to open SAMMY HAGAR's "Livin It Up '06" show in West Palm Beach, FL on Friday, June 16.

April 7th 2006:

Sunday (April 16th) OFF THE RECORD with Joe Benson will feature the music of Sammy Hagar and Van Halen, as well as new conversation with Sammy.

Sammy Hagar will be the featured guest on the nationally syndicated radio show "Rockline" airing Wednesday, May 10. The live show begins at 8:30 p.m. PT / 11:30 p.m. ET, and fans are encouraged to call in with questions during the program at (800) 344-ROCK (7625). As previously reported, SAMMY HAGAR's video for his new track "Sam I Am", taken from his upcoming album "Livin' It Up", has been posted online at this location.

March 19th 2006:

Sammy Hagar has mapped out his summer schedule. He's announced 26 dates that get underway June 3rd in Devore, California, and run through August 10th in Sturgis, South Dakota. He will pull double-duty on the Livin' It Up tour -- he'll do a full set with his band the WaboRitas, and he'll also perform Van Halen songs with Wabos guitarist Vic Johnson and drummer David Lauser and Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony, who are collectively known as the Other Half.

Hagar is recreating the full-on Cabo Wabo experience at each tour stop, which will have a Cabo Wabo village with a bar, food vendors, mariachi bands, body builders, and of course, women in bikinis.

Hagar's new album will be titled Livin' It Up. The first single is called "Sam I Am," and a snippet can be heard at his official redrocker.com website. Tour dates are posted on the forum.

March 11th 2006:

A new concert series, Rock'n The Rally, will present Aerosmith, Sammy Hagar, Big & Rich, Keith Urban, Steve Miller, Cheap Trick, Steppenwolf, Fabulous Thunderbirds, REO Speedwagon, .38 Special, Foghat, Georgia Satellites, Greg Rollie, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Shooter Jennings and others in Sturgis, S.D., August 6-10.

SAMMY HAGAR is heading back on the road this summer with his band the WABOS and Michael Anthony in support of his forthcoming release, Livin' It Up, due later this spring.

Just got back from the St. Louis show, and wow, it KICKED ASS!  I added a review of the concert.  The setlist will be up soon.  Sorry for the slow updates.  I am home for the summer, working 50 hrs a week, have class, and on a modem connection.  Please email your reviews of the concert, and don't forget the cover art contest!
